The Ides of March

We're all familiar with the story of Julius Caesar's death. On this date in 44 B.C., he was stabbed to death in the senate house. A soothsayer had warned Caesar to "Beware the Ides of March".

As a girl, the story impacted me so much when I first heard it in school that it never fails that I always remember this day. So in commemoration of the Ides of March (which is really just another way of saying "the 15th" of whatever month it is), I thought it would be nice and somewhat fun to declare today National Toga Day. These ladies obviously got the memo and participated in the event.

Happy Ides of March!
